I am a graduate of UC Berkeley in psychology, UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and have a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from UC Berkeley’s School of Environmental Design. I practiced in law firms and as general counsel and have been involved in various business enterprises including real estate and business opportunity brokerage. I was also a part time instructor in the Department of Management at Sonoma State University. Thirty years ago, I formed Legal Additions LLC, a full-service attorney search and consulting firm – mergers, laterals, contract placement – for law firms and legal departments. My business dispute mediation practice is also under the aegis of Legal Additions.

My mediation training includes courses with the Bar Association of San Francisco, Association of Attorney Mediators and Northern California Mediation Association. I was a founding member and for many years a Board Member, of The Mediation Society which is a 100-member organization of prominent Bay Area mediators, including members of AAA and JAMS.

I have mediated a broad spectrum of civil disputes. These encompass attorney-client disputes for the Bar Association of San Francisco in which, the underlying subject matter included real property matters involving international investors, trust disputes, employment termination, debt collection, partnership dissolution and immigration. In addition. In the past, I mediated a wide range of disputes for the Superior Court of Contra Costa County. Other mediations include sale of small businesses, real estate transactions, sophisticated UCC equipment leases, employment matters, and intellectual property work product produced by an independent contractor.

Additionally, I have been an arbitrator for the Pacific Exchange and hearing officer for the San Francisco Office of Citizens’ Complaints. I served on the (2018-2019) Marin County Civil Grand Jury.
